Teaworld rendez-vous© first edition: the gamble paid off
The first European meeting around tea has kept its promises: multicultural exhibitors, thousands of visitors, infinite flavours, and a discovery of original and innovative products.
The kids corner to entertain the future tea drinkers was a real success, and the « tea wok » restaurant was full, to delight the epicureans’ taste buds.
Important commercial negotiations between European and extra-European countries have been done. Tea is exporting itself, for everyone’s pleasure.
The organizers wished to create a new concept and to have it validated by people from all ages and backgrounds. The challenge has been taken up.
Teaworld 2012, some figures:
A very impressive opening night; with 7 ambassadors and different personalities, about 250 guests were present to discover this tea oasis, the Teaworld village©.
30 exhibitors for 15 countries represented, about 3000 visitors for the public weekend, and 350 professionals attended from the four corners of Europe for the May 7th business day.
13 world-renowned lecturers were also present, to fuel this meeting with culture and history.
Teaworld rendez-vous© is in motion and is meant to travel. Montréal, Philadelphia, Berlin, and Antwerp have already shown their interest to become « host countries » for the future editions of this cultural and commercial gathering around tea. Save the date for May 2013!
Eerste editie van Teaworld Rendez-vous© in Tour & Taxis groot succes
Het eerste grote Europese evenement rond thee heeft zijn beloftes waargemaakt. Een multicultureel palet aan exposanten, duizenden bezoekers, oneindig veel smaken en de ontdekking van originele en innovatieve producten.
De kids corner, waar de toekomstige theedrinkers werden geëntertaind was kon op veel bijval rekenen en het “Tea Wok Restaurant” waar de smaakpapillen van de bezoekers werden verwend was goed gevuld. Er werden eveneens tal van belangrijke commerciële onderhandelingen tussen Europese en niet-Europese landen gevoerd.
De organisatoren wilden met het evenement een nieuw concept in het leven roepen, dat door mensen van alle leeftijden en met allerlei achtergronden zou worden gevalideerd. En het werd een succes!

Een indrukwekkende openingsavond: 7 internationale ambassadeurs, tientallen personaliteiten en ongeveer 250 gasten ontdekten de thee-oase van TeaWorld Village©.
30 exposanten uit 15 landen mochten meer dan 3.000 bezoekers ontvangen tijdens het weekend en 350 Europese professionals uit de vier windstreken gaven present op de business dag op 7 mei.
Tijdens het weekend gaven 13 wereldwijd gerenommeerde sprekers toespraken over hun eigen theecultuur en –geschiedenis.
TeaWorld Rendez-vous© is in beweging en wil op reis! Montreal, Philadelphia, Berlijn en Antwerpen hebben reeds hun interesse getoond om gastheer te zijn van toekomstige edities van deze culturele en commerciële bijeenkomst rond thee. De volgende editie is alvast gepland in mei 2013!
Première édition du Teaworld rendez-vous© : un pari gagné
La première rencontre européenne autour du thé a tenu ses promesses : des exposants multiculturels, des visiteurs par milliers, des saveurs infinies et une découverte de produits originaux et innovants.
Le kids corner pour amuser nos futurs buveurs de thé a été couronné de succès, et le restaurant « wok au thé » comble pour ravir les papilles des plus gourmands.
D’importants échanges commerciaux entre les pays européens et extra-européens se sont noués. Le thé s’exporte, au grand bonheur de tous.
Les organisateurs avaient la volonté de créer un nouveau concept et de le faire valider par un public de tous horizons. Le défi a été amplement rempli !
Les chiffres de ce Teaworld 2012 :
Un start inaugural très impressionnant ; avec 7 ambassadeurs et diverses personnalités, environ 250 invités pour découvrir cet oasis du thé, le « Teaworld Village ».
30 exposants pour 15 pays représentés, près de 3000 visiteurs pour le weekend grand public, et 350 professionnels venus des quatre coins de l’Europe pour la journée business du 7 mai.
13 conférenciers de renommée internationale étaient en outre présents, pour alimenter cette rencontre de culture et d’histoire.
Teaworld rendez-vous© est sur les rails et destiné à voyager. Montréal, Philadelphia, Berlin, et Anvers ont déjà porté un intérêt à devenir des « villes-hôtes » pour les prochaines éditions de ce rendez-vous culturel et commercial autour du thé.
